Rationale:

In October 2017, bighorn sheep were put on LEH for MU 4-22 primarily due to high harvest and hunter numbers and declining population size.  At the time, the entire MU was used as the LEH boundary.  Bighorn sheep from 4 different herds can be located within MU 4-22:  entire Bull River herd, entire Lizard herd, portion of West side Elk Valley herds and portion of VanNostrand herd.  Creating 2 LEH subzones would allow for improved harvest and hunter management.

Bull River surveys:

Mar 12, 2017:             54 sheep observed

Feb 16, 2018:              49 sheep observed

Feb 27, 2019:              65 sheep observed
