Rock outcrops are of the Kunga Formation (Jurassic-Triassic) limestone and argillite. The Cretaceous Yakoun and Longard Formations, Cretaceous and Tertiary stocks and the Paleocene-Eocene Masset Formaton. The intrusives are related to the northwesterly Rennel Sound - Luscoone Inlet fault zone.
