Geological Summary
Rock outcrops are scarce. Lapilli tuff and agglomerate of the Yakoun Formation (Jurassic) are intruded by diorite-quartz diorite elongate parallel to the Sandspit fault. Pyrite and pyrrhotite are wide spread. Chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, sphalerite, galena and barite occur locally.
