Geological Summary
Shallow to moderately dipping slates and argillite of the Ladner Group (Jurassic) are in (Hozameen) fault-contact with the foliated cherty phyllites of the Hozameen Group (Paleozoic). The Ladner rocks are folded and cut by a sill/dyke complex. The intrusives are deeply weathered and hydrothermally altered. Minor pyrrhotite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and gold are associated with abundant quartz veins and stringers.
