Geological Summary
Oligocene andesites are eroded to expose a window of Mesozoic felsic and intermediate pyroclastic and flow rocks that are intruded by quartz feldspar porphyry and gabbro. Placer gold has been traced to a gossaneous outcrop containing pyrite, sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite.
