Geological Summary
The Nicola dacite and basalt flow rocks are interbedded with lenses of sedimentary and pyroclastic rocks. These are overlain by shale, sandstone, conglomerate, coal, andesite and basalt of the Princeton Group (Tertiary). To the northeast the Nicola rocks are intruded by gabbro-syenite of the Copper Mountain intrusive. Pyrite, chalcopyrite and bornite occur in fractures and disseminations within the intrusive-country rock contact zone.
