Geological Summary |
The Mt. Roberts Formation (Pennsylvanian) sedimentary rocks and the overlying Rossland Formation (Jurassic) volcanic rocks are metamorphosed and intruded by the Nelson Batholith (Cretaceous) and Coryell and Sheppard (Tertiary) rocks. Pyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite with gold and silver values occur in two sets of steeply dipping fractures.
