Geological Summary

Schist, gneiss, minor slates and quartzites (Pre-Permian) are mixed with pods of the Lewes River (Late Triassic) rhyolites, andesites and basalts. These rocks are intruded by granodiorite bodies and feldspar porphry dykes. Foliation dips northeasterly and bedding dips north-northeasterly. Mineralization consists of disseminated pyrite and minor pyrrhotite.
