Geological Summary |
Andesitic pyroclastic rocks of the Telkwa Formation are overlain by tuffs and breccias of the Nilkitwa Formation (both of the Hazelton Group of Early Jurassic age). Andesitic dykes cut the flat-lying country rocks. Silver-bearing chalcopyrite and bornite are disseminated along veins and in fractures of the Telka rocks. Low-grade, auriferous pyrite occurs in silicified and bleached Telkwa rocks.
