Volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks of the Fire Lake Group (Jurassic-Cretaceous) include argillaceous tuff with malachite and native copper in fractures. A pyritic sericite schist unit contains minor chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Small amounts stibnite and arsenopyrite are also present.
