| Geological Summary |
Argillaceous rocks of the Cache Creek Group (Permian) are intruded by small masses of granite of the Coast Crystalline Complex. The country rocks are drag-folded and altered to graphitic and sericitic schist. Numerous quartz veins exposed in old workings dip steeply westward.
