Geological Summary

Volcanic rocks of the Gambier Group (Cretaceous) form an oval-shaped roof pendant underlain by granodiorite. Quartz, pyrite and chalcopyrite occur disseminated and in fractures of the volcanic rocks. The granodiorite is locally sheared and pyritic.
