Metamorphic rocks of the Shuswap Complex and (Carboniferous to Permian) greenstone, schists, gneiss, quartzite, marble and agglomerates are intruded by granitic rocks of the Baldy Mountain batholith (Jurassic/Cretaceous). Molybdenite occurs in fractures, porphyritic quartz monzonite/granodiorite in northeasterly trending zones.
