Small stocks, sills and dykes related to the Nelson Batholith (Jurassic to Cretaceous) intrude schists and marble of the Lardeau Group, schists phyllite, argillite, limestone and quartzite of the Milford Group, greenstone, schist and gneiss of the Kaslo Group, and limestone, dolomite, argillite and slate of the Slocan Group. These rocks form part of the deformed western flank of the Kootenay Arc.
