Geological Summary |
Agglomerates and tuffs of the Yakoun Formation (Jurassic) are unconformably overlain by shales and sandstone of the Haida Formation (Cretaceous). To the northwest the Haida rocks are intruded and overlain by basalts and rhyolites of the Masset Formation (Tertiary). The main structural feature in the vicinity is the northwest trending Sandspit Fault system.
