Geological Summary
The rocks are of the toodoggone Group (Lower to Middle Jurassic) and the Takla Group (Triassic). The latter rocks are intruded by granodiorite (Jurassisc). A 3 kilometre long zone of silicification strikes northwesterly along the fault contact of Toodoggone and Takla rocks. Galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, malachite, pyrite, hematite, manganese and barite are erratically distributed in the silicified zone.
