Geological Summary
Thick sequences of basalt, limestone/chert, argillite, tuffaceous rocks and thin serpentinite horizons of the Bridge River Group (Triassic) are unconformably overlain by conglomerate, arkose and shale of the Taylor Creek Group (Jurassic/Cretaceous). Both groups are cut by dyke-like feldspar porphyries. Silicified basalt and limestone is anomalous in tungsten and mercury.
