Geological Summary |
The property is situated in a zone between the intermontane belt and the Omineca crystalline belt. Volcanic and sedimentary rocks (Upper Paleozoic to Triassic) trend east-southeast along the northerly edge of a large granodiorite/quartz diorite batholith. These rocks are unconformably overlain by sedimentary and volcanic rocks of Tertiary age. The Monashee Mountain area is known for its gold-silver mineral potential.
