Intensely deformed metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks of the Gambier Formation (Cretaceous) are intruded by quartz diorite and related rocks of the Coast Range intrusives. Rhyolite/dacite of the metavolcanic rocks appear to be favourable to mineralization.
