Geological Summary |
At the northern end of Adams Lake a biotite ortho-gneiss occurs which intruded and heavily metamorphosed the Adams Lake greenstones and interbedded sediments for a distance of 1000 feet (305.8 metres) from the contact. The mineralized zone strikes at 45 degrees and dips 40 degrees northwest. The minerals are galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and pyrite and they form a banded replacement zinc within a schistose and highly folded series of granitic and limy phyllitic rocks.
