Geological Summary |
Trachytic basalt/andesite/dacite porphyries of the Hazelton Group (Jurassic) are intruded by stocks and dykes of quartz monzonite and quartz feldspar porphyry composition. The dominant fracture systems strike northwesterly and north-northeasterly. Pyrite commonly occurs in fractures. The quartz monzonite shows a weakly developed quartz stockwork mineralized with minor chalcopyrite and molybdenite.
