Geological Summary
Black phyllites (Upper Triassic) are flanked by rocks of the Takla Group (Upper Triassic/Lower Jurassic) to the west and syenite to diorite, minor pyroxinite, serpentinite and aplite dykes of the Naver Intrusions (Early Cretaceous) to the east. These rocks are overlain by (Tertiary) rocks containing diatomite and lignite. Pyritic quart veins that cut carbonatized intrusive and Takla andesite are anomalous in gold and antimony content.
