Geological Summary
Calc-alkaline basalt to rhyolite flow rocks, breccia, tuff and intravolcanic sedimentary rocks of the Telkwa formation, Hazelton Group, are bounded by the Topley intrusions. The volcanic rocks are extensively altered with development of zeolite, calcite, quartz, epidote, chlorite and clay. Chalcopyrite, malachite, galena, sphalerite and manganese containing silver occur in stringers and beds. Mineralized boulder trains originate under glaciers.
