Geological Summary |
The dominant rocks are andesitic flows, dyke and sills of the Bonanza Formation. Calcareous sedimentary rocks of the Parson Bay Formation are represented by sheared, carbonate-veined, fault-bound slices within the Bonanza rocks. Pyritic dacite dykes (Tertiary) cut all other rocks. Main faults, shears, dykes and veins are steeply dipping and striking to the east and northeast.
