| Geological Summary |
The underlying rocks are basaltic pillow lavas, breccia and tuff of the Karmuten Formation (Triassic). To the west these rocks are intruded by granodiorite, quartz diorite, quartz monzonite and granite. Pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite occur in quartz-filled fissures.
