Geological Summary
THE PREDOMINANT LOCAL LITHOLOGY CONSISTS OF DEFORMED PHYLLITE AND SCHISTOSE GREENSTONE OF THE JOWETT FORMATION, LARDEAU SERIES, WHICH DIP STEEPLY TO THE NORTHEAST. THE ORIGINAL BEDDING IS OBLITERATED. THE MAIN SHOWING CONSISTS OF A 2 TO 3 METRE THICK FAULT BOUNDED QUARTZ VEIN DIPPING 80 DEGREES TO THE EAST WHICH CONTAINS AURIFEROUS PYRITE, AND CRYSTALS OF GALENA AND SPHALERITE.
