THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN IN THE EAST BY MODERATELY WEST-DIPPING FORT STEELE FORMATION WHICH IS COMPRISED OF UPWARD FINING CYCLES OF QUARTZITE TO ARGILLITE. THE WESTERN PART OF THE CLAIMS IS OBSCURED BY GLACIAL AND ALLUVIAL DRIFT. THE CLAIMS ARE CROSSED BY THE LEWIS CREEK FAULT AND PROBABLY BY THE EXTENSION OF THE KOOTENAY RIVER FAULT.
