THE UNDERLYING ROCKS ARE GNEISS WITH QUARTZ STRINGERS OF THE WOLVERINE COMPLEX, LIMESTONE, ARGILLITE, ANDESITE AND TUFFS OF THE SLIDE MOUNTAIN GROUP, AND A VARIETY OF INTRUSIVE ROCKS. SPHALERITE, GALENA, CHALCOPYRITE AND PYRITE MINERALIZATION IS MAINLY ASSOCIATED WITH SKARN DEVELOPMENT.
