Geological Summary |
FELSIC DYKES AND SILLS INTRUDE GREEN TO RED AGGLOMERATE, ANDESITE AND BASALT OF THE EARLY TO MIDDLE JURASSIC HAZELTON GROUP. BLOCK FAULTING AND HORNFELSING OF VOLCANICS APPEARS RELATED TO A CENTRAL GRANODIORITE STOCK. MINERALIZATION IS OF TWO MAIN TYPES; PYRITE-CHALCOPYRITE-TETRAHEDRITE AND ASSOCIATED QUARTZ-EPIDOTE ALTERATION IN BEDDED TUFFS; AND BORNITE-MINOR CHALCOPYRITE- SPECULARITE ASSOCIATED WITH EPIDOTE-GARNET ALTERATION OF SKARNIFIED PYROCLASTICS.
