THIS AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY THE EAGLE BAY FORMATION WHICH HOSTS SEVERAL MASSIVE SULPHIDE AND OTHER TYPES OF MINERAL DEPOSITS. AN IRON DEPOSIT CUTS SCOTCH CREEK NORTHEAST OF A LEAD-ZINC SILVER VEIN. GOLD AND SILVER ARE CARRIED IN THE IRON FORMATION.
