QUARTZ VEINS OCCUR ALONG SHEAR OR FRACTURE ZONES IN HORNBLENDE DIORITE AND MORE RARELY IN CACHE CREEK SEDIMENTARY ROCKS CLOSE TO THE DIORITE. THE MILKY QUARTZ VEINS ARE APPROXIMATELY 30 CENTI- METRES WIDE AND CONTAIN DISSEMINATED PYRITE AND RARELY GALENA. NORTHEASTERLY STRIKING FAULTS APPEAR TO OFFSET THE VEINS.
