THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY KARMUTSEN FORMATION (UPPER TRIASSIC) MAFIC TO INTERMEDIATE FLOW AND PYROCLASTIC ROCKS. THE VOLCANICS ARE INTRUDED BY A (JURASSIC) GRANITOID BODY. PYRITE IS UBIQUITOUS AS DISSEMINATIONS AND FRACTURE-FILLINGS, LOCALLY UP TO 15 PERCENT; NO OTHER SULPHIDES ARE REPORTED. THIS SURVEY DEFINED SEVERAL GOLD SOIL ANOMALIES WITH COINCIDENT HIGHS OF OTHER METALS.
