| Geological Summary |
The Slide Mountain Group (Late Mississippian) of rocks consist of cyclic sequences of basalt breccia, tuff, chert argillite, sandstone, limestone and conglomerate. The dip is moderate to steep to the west. Contacts are both gradational and sharp. Alteration consists of silicification, chloritization, kaolinization and pyritization.
