Mylonitised mafic volcanics of the Slide Mountain Group are sandwiched between black phyllite (Quesnellia Terrain) to the southwest and mylonitised high grade metamorphic rocks (Omineca Crystalline Belt) to the northeast. All but two values of gold in soil are either background or slightly above background level.
