THE GEOLOGY WITHIN THE CLAIMS CONSISTS PREDOM- INANTLY OF (TRIASSIC) KARMUTSEN AMYGDALOIDAL INTERMEDIATE TO MAFIC VOLCANICS AND YOUNGER LIME- STONE OF THE QUATSINO FORMATION. THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE PROPERTY IS UNDERLAIN BY DIORITE WHICH IS IN FAULT CONTACT WITH QUATSINO LIMESTONE. THE LAYERED ROCKS HAVE BEEN INTRUDED BY DYKES AND SMALL PLUGS OF BOTH QUARTZ-FELDSPAR PORPHYRY AND DIORITE. CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE, SPHALERITE, MALA- CHITE AND GALENA REPLACEMENT TYPE MINERALIZATION ASSOCIATED WITH SKARN ALTERATION IN LIMESTONE IS PRESENT. STRONG GOLD-SILVER SOIL ANOMALIES OCCUR OUTSIDE OF THE AREA OF KNOWN BASE METAL SKARNS.
