Geological Summary
THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY A FOLDED SEQUENCE OF GNEISS, SCHIST AND AMPHIBOLITE OF THE (POSSIBLY TRIASSIC TO JURASSIC) LEECH RIVER COMPLEX. ON THE EASTERN PART OF THE PROPERTY THE METASEDIMENTARY AND METAVOLCANIC ROCKS ARE INTRUDED BY TWO (TERTIARY) QUARTZ-MONZONITE PLUTONS. SHEARING, RELATED TO THE LEECH RIVER FAULT ZONE CUTS ALL OF THE ROCKS. A NUMBER OF MAGNETIC ANOMALIES WERE OUTLINED FROM THE SURVEY. SOME OF THESE SUGGEST THE PRESENCE OF AN ALTERATION ZONE ASSOCIATED WITH PARALLEL EASTERLY TRENDING SHEARS AND NORTHEAST- ERLY AND NORTHWESTERLY STRIKING CROSSFAULTS OF THE LEECH RIVER FAULT ZONE.
