UPPER TRIASSIC-LOWER JURASSIC AGE TAKLA GROUP VOLCANIC ROCKS CONSISTING OF THICKLY BEDDED, GREEN DACITIC TUFFS AND AUGITE PORPHYRY FLOWS ARE OVER- LAIN BY A SEDIMENTARY PACKAGE CONTAINING ARGIL- LITE, CHERT AND VOLCANIC GREYWACKE. ROCKS STRIKE NORTHEAST AND DIP 40 DEGREES TO THE SOUTHEAST. GOLD AND SILVER VALUES OCCUR IN A GALENA-PYRITE VEIN THAT CROSSCUTS AUGITE PORPHYRY FLOWS.
