THE RUPERT GROUP IS UNDERLAIN BY METAMORPHIC PENDANTS WITHIN THE COAST PLUTONIC COMPLEX. YOUNGER DYKES CUT THE METAMORPHIC ROCKS AND INCLUDE RHYOLITIC QUARTZ PORPHYRIES, RHYODACITE AND BASALT. MINERALIZATION OCCURS AS GALENA, TETRAHEDRITE, CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE AND MINOR GOLD WITHIN QUARTZ VEINS IN THE RHYOLITE UNIT.
