THE JOE ANNE GROUP IS UNDERLAIN BY A FAULTED SUC- CESSION OF KARMUTSEN FORMATION VOLCANICS UNCONFOR- MABLY OVERLAIN BY NANAIMO GROUP SEDIMENTS. THIS SUCCESSION ON THE RIDGE LEADING NORTH FROM MOUNT BROOKS AND THE AREA SOUTH AND EAST OF DIVERS LAKE IS CUT BY POLYPHASE TERTIARY PLUTONS AND DIATREME BRECCIAS. THE DIATREME BRECCIA COMPLEX IS BORDERED BY A BIOTITIC HORNFELS HALO IN NANAIMO GROUP. MINERALIZATION OCCURS IN HORNFELS AND IN DIATREME BRECCIA.
