THE CLAIM IS UNDERLAIN BY MAFIC VOLCANIC FLOWS, FLOW BRECCIAS, PYROCLASTICS AND SEDIMENTS OF THE LATE DEVONIAN TO EARLY MISSISSIPPIAN AGE EAGLE BAY FORMATION. THESE UNITS DIP EASTWARD ON EITHER SIDE OF THE RUSSEL CREEK FAULT. ALL ROCKS HAVE UNDERGONE FOLDING AND LOWER GREENSCHIST ALTERA- TION. PYROCLASTIC UNITS HOST DISSEMINATED PYRITE.
