META-ANDESITE, THE DOMINANT ROCK TYPE, IS FRACTURED AND LOCALLY HEAVILY STAINED WITH HEMATITE. IN THE AREA OF THIS HEMATITIC ALTERATION, ANOMALOUS SOIL GEOCHEMICAL GOLD VALUES WERE RECORDED. MAGNETIC TRENDS DO NOT APPEAR TO FOLLOW THE GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALY.
