THE CENTRAL PART OF THE CLAIMS IS UNDERLAIN BY ARGILLACEOUS SEDIMENTS. HORNBLENDE ANDESITE TO ANDESITE BRECCIA OF THE TAKLA GROUP (UPPER TRIASSIC-LOWER JURASSIC) OCCURS IN THE WESTERN AND EASTERN PART OF THE CLAIMS. A FEW OUTCROPS OF DIORITE OCCUR IN CENTRAL CHINA #3 MINERAL CLAIM. THE WESTERN CONTACT BETWEEN ARGILLITE AND ANDESITE COULD BE A FAULT CONTACT, BASED ON THE RAPID CHANGE IN STRIKE OF THE CONTACT AND A PRONOUNCED NORTHWESTERLY GULLEY AT THIS POINT OF CHANGE IN STRIKE.
