THE CLAIM BLOCK IS UNDERLAIN BY HELIKIAN AGE SAND- STONE AND ARGILLITES ASSIGNED TO THE MIDDLE ALDRIDGE FORMATION. THESE ROCKS ARE METAMORPHOSED TO UPPER GREENSCHIST FACIES (CHARACTERIZED BY A QUARTZ-MUSCOVITE-BIOTITE-GARNET ASSEMBLAGE) AND INTRUDED BY DIORITIC ROCKS ASSIGNED TO THE MOYIE INTRUSION. THE LOWER/MIDDLE ALDRIDGE CONTACT, THE SULLIVAN TIME HORIZON POSSIBLY EXISTS AT DEPTH. TOURMALINITE OCCURS AS FLOAT WITHIN THE WEST CENTRAL PORTION OF THE ERIC CLAIM.
