SEVEN DIAMOND DRILL HOLES TOTALLING 680 METRES WERE COMPLETED WITHIN A SEQUENCE OF BASALTIC FLOWS, FLOW BRECCIAS, TUFF BRECCIAS AND COARSE- BEDDED VOLCANICLASTICS WITH INTERBEDDED LITHIC WACKES AND SILTSTONES. THESE ROCKS BELONG TO THE UPPER TRIASSIC TO JURASSIC TAKLA GROUP. ALL CORE ANALYSES PROVED TO BE BARREN OF GOLD MINERALIZA- TION, HOWEVER, SUFFICIENT PERCENTAGES OF DISSEMIN- ATED PYRITE ARE PRESENT TO ACCOUNT FOR THE WEAK INDUCED POLARIZATION ANOMALIES.
