THE SUE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY A SUCCESSION OF PALEOZOIC SEDIMENTS RANGING FROM THE CAMBRIAN ATAN GROUP TO DEVONIAN MCDAME GROUP LIMESTONES. THESE UNITS ARE IN CONTACT WITH THE CASSIAR BATHOLITH TO THE WEST AND THE SYLVESTER GROUP TO THE EAST AND SOUTH. THREE TYPES OF MINERALIZATION HAVE BEEN FOUND TO DATE: (1) TUNGSTEN SKARNS IN THE SANDPILE GROUP DOLOMITES; (2) SILVER-LEAD-ZINC GOSSANOUS ZONES IN THE MCDAME GROUP LIMESTONE; AND (3) SILVER-LEAD MINERALIZATION IN A QUARTZITE BRECCIA.
