Geological Summary
THE AD CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY METAMORPHOSED MAFIC TO FELSIC VOLCANIC ROCKS OF THE DEVONIAN-MISSISSI- PIAN EAGLE BAY FORMATION. THE UNITS HAVE A WELL DEVELOPED FOLIATION WHICH DIPS MODERATELY 20 DEGREES TO 40 DEGREES TO THE WEST AND NORTHWEST. SULPHIDE ZONES OCCUR WITHIN THE DACITE AND DACITE SCHIST, AND ARE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THEIR MUTUAL CONTACT. MOST OF THE MINERALIZATION OCCURS AS STRATIFORM DISSEMINATIONS OF PYRITE, PYRRHOTITE WITH MINOR CHALCOPYRITE AND SPHALERITE. THE GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY REVEALED ZINC AND GOLD STREAM SEDIMENT ANOMALIES.
