Geological Summary |
THE CLAIMS ARE UNDERLAIN BY LOWER JURASSIC AGE MAFIC TO INTERMEDIATE VOLCANIC ROCKS OF THE HAZELTON GROUP. ANDESITE TUFFS AND AGGLOMERATES ARE THE DOMINANT ROCK TYPES. MINERALIZATION CON- SISTING OF CHALCOPYRITE, SPECULAR HEMATITE, GOLD AND SILVER IS FRACTURE-CONTROLLED. THE GEOPHYSICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL SURVEY RESULTS APPEAR TO REFLECT MINERALIZATION WITHIN FRACTURE SYSTEMS IN THE VOLCANIC ROCKS.
