THE PROPERTY IS UNDERLAIN BY PRE-CAMBRIAN AGE WOLVERINE COMPLEX ROCKS WHICH CONSIST OF GRANITIC GNEISS, PEGMATITES, MICACEOUS CHLORITIC GARNETIFEROUS SCHISTS AND CRYSTALLINE LIMESTONE. THE LIMESTONE OCCURS AS STRATABOUND BEDS 2 CENTIMETRES TO 100 METRES THICK, EXTEND FOR 7.5 KILOMETRES, STRIKE ROUGHLY 140 DEGREES AND DIP 50-80 DEGREES SOUTHWEST. FLAKE GRAPHITE FROM 0.5 MILLIMETRES TO 0.5 CENTIMETRES OCCUR IN UP TO 5% CONCENTRATIONS WITHIN THE LIMESTONE.
