MUCH OF THE AREA COVERED BY THE TANYA, LONGHURST AND MOON GROUPS IS UNDERLAIN BY DEVONIAN TO PERMIAN AGE ULTRAMAFICS, CHERTS, GREENSTONES AND ARGILLITES OF THE SYLVESTER GROUP. CHRYSOLITE APPEARS IN TWO MANNERS ON THE PROPERTY, AS WIDE- SPREAD, VERY LOW GRADE, VEINS DISTRIBUTED WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED METRES AT THE CONTACT OF THE ULTRA- MAFIC AND AS VERY LOCAL OCCURRENCES OF HIGH GRADE VEINS NEAR SOME DYKES.
