Geological Summary
THE CLAIM AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY FELSIC TO INTER- MEDIATE FLOWS AND TUFFS OF THE UPPER JURASSIC TOODOGGONE VOLCANICS. THE ORIGINAL IDENTITY OF THE ROCKS ON THE PROPERTY ARE OBSCURED BY A STRONG SERICITIC DEVELOPMENT. LARGE QUARTZ VEINS AND QUARTZ-SERICITE VEINS STRIKE NORTH 55 DEGREES WEST ACROSS THE CLAIM AREA AND ARE UP TO 60 METRES LONG WITH ASSOCIATED PARALLEL CLAY ZONES UP TO 5 OR 6 METRES WIDE. BARITE OCCURS LOCALLY IN THE QUARTZ VEINS. THE ALTERED VOLCANIC ROCKS ARE INTRUDED BY GRANODIORITE DYKES WHICH ARE YOUNGER THAN THE HYDROTHERMAL EVENTS. THE DYKES STRIKE NORTHWEST, PARALLEL TO THE CLAY ZONES AND QUARTZ VEINS. TRENCH SAMPLING RETURNED SLIGHTLY ANOMALOUS GOLD AND SILVER VALUES.
